About
886lab. is an independent jewellery and objects studio exploring the space between the organic and the constructed.
Our work begins with forms found in nature — bones, shells, growth patterns and other biological structures — and reinterprets them through digital processes and contemporary materials. Rather than reproducing nature, we are interested in imagining what these forms might become: altered, engineered, or discovered in another time.
We describe this world as Ancient Future — where something can feel archaeological and unfamiliar at once, as if it carries traces of both the past and a future that has yet to exist.
Many of our pieces are developed through 3D printing and made using plant-based resin, allowing us to build intricate structures that would be difficult to achieve through conventional jewellery-making alone. Each piece is then individually finished and assembled by hand.
For 886lab, technology is not the subject of the work, but a tool for creating new forms of jewellery — objects made to live on the body.
Customisation
At 886lab, many pieces are made individually rather than produced in identical batches. We are happy to customise selected designs to make them more personal to you.
Customisation may include colour, finish, size, material combinations, chain length, or selected design details, depending on the piece and its construction.
For custom enquiries, please contact 886official@gmail.com with the piece you are interested in and a brief description of what you have in mind. Reference images are welcome.
Process
Once we receive your request, we will confirm what is technically possible and provide any additional cost or production time before proceeding.
For more detailed bespoke work, we may share references, colour options or design details with you for approval before production begins.
Handmade Variations
Many 886lab pieces are individually made using processes including 3D printing, hand-finishing and assembly. Slight variations in colour, surface, transparency, texture and placement may naturally occur.
These differences are part of the making process and mean that each piece may not be completely identical to another.
Production Time
Most customised pieces require approximately 5–7 business days to produce, depending on the complexity of the request.
More extensive bespoke designs may require additional time. An estimated production schedule will be confirmed with you before the order is finalised.
Changes & Cancellations
Please check all customisation details carefully before confirming your order.
Once production has begun, we may not be able to make further changes or cancel the order.
Returns
Because customised and bespoke pieces are made specifically for you, they are final sale and cannot normally be returned or exchanged, unless the item arrives faulty or does not match the customisation details agreed with us.
If there is an issue with your order, please contact us at 886official@gmail.com within 3 days of delivery, including photographs and your order details, and we will review it with you.
